What wasn'tworking.
Four systems, four logins, four export formats. The Monday operating review began with ninety minutes of manual spreadsheet assembly, which meant the numbers were always at least a day old and nobody trusted them enough to act quickly.
How weapproached it.
Rather than replace the four systems — expensive, slow, and unnecessary — we built a read layer over them. Scheduled jobs normalise each source into a shared schema, with reconciliation checks that flag when two systems disagree instead of silently picking one.
What shipped.
Unified data layer
Scheduled ingestion from four sources into a normalised schema, with per-source freshness indicators on every figure.
Reconciliation checks
Automated comparison between overlapping sources, surfacing mismatches rather than hiding them behind an average.
Role-based views
Sales, warehouse and support each land on a view scoped to their decisions, with permissions enforced server-side.
Scheduled reporting
Daily and weekly summaries generated and delivered automatically, replacing the manual assembly step entirely.
